ZHOUKA, as an initiative for SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), produces clothing using recycled polyester material made from recycled plastic bottles.

When converting polyester into "polyester fiber," a substance called "polyethylene terephthalate (PET)" is used as the raw material. This PET is the same raw material for plastic bottles. By utilizing this system and recycling discarded PET bottles, "recycled polyester" is created.

Like regular polyester fiber, it has the characteristics of not easily losing its shape, not easily wrinkled, and highly durable. Furthermore, it is lightweight, highly elastic, and quick-drying, so it can be widely used for clothing, eco bags, shoes, pouches, etc.

Marine pollution caused by illegal dumping of plastic bottles has become a problem these days. Furthermore, the production of recycled polyester is utilized in efforts to achieve the SDGs, as it can also reduce carbon dioxide emissions generated during the manufacturing and disposal of polyester.
